Weeping Willow

Weeping Willow,

      why do you cry?
Your back is arched
       against the sun
And you never look
       at the sky.
Birds flit among your
      sullen limbs,
You care not of the lover's
      carvings in your chest
And yet,
      you weep,
 And yet,
     you weep.
