Part I: Depression

I can't help but see
All this pain and sorrow
Encircling me.
When there's no hope for tomorrow,
No love for the fellow
Who needs it the most,
All life seems lost.

Do you even notice
The smallest of creatures,
Even the locust?
If you don't notice her features
Or reach out to meet her,
Tell me who does.
Someone must love.

If life has a purpose,
Then I need to know it
So I don't feel worthless.
God, can You show it?
I don't want to blow it.
I need some love,
Some comfort from above.

Something new.
Something to heal.
Just help me move.
Please help me to feel.
Is love so real?
I need something to believe.
Come work inside me.

Part II: Fulfillment

I cried out in the night,
And Somebody heard me.
My life was a blight,
but He reassured me,
"It's all right."

Right then and there
I gave it all
To the One
Who stopped my fall.
"It's all right."

I felt His presence
in the room
And gave my life
To Him Who proves
"It's all right."

My life goes on
With trials and troubles,
But through it all
I remember on the double
"It's all right."

My story is not where it ends.
It is only where it begins.
You can have this love, too,
If you believe in the One Who made you.
Just like in the room that night,
If you believe in the only Jesus Christ,
He will save you and make sure you know
"It's all right."
