We write to be heard,

it's the simplest of cases.

We're shouting with our voices,

but being ignored by everyone's faces.

We struggle to succeed,

and become who we're "supposed to be,"

Hoping we live up to "the standard",

like success is some dying breed.

We write for release, and meditation,

because sometimes over the counter, isn't the best medication.

And although the words we jot down are sporadic and breif

They have a much deeper meaning to us like each individual Indian to his Cheif.

We write to be soldiers and tell our stories,

we write because it's our most desired feeling of glory.

We write because it's who we are.
