We the People

We the people, who have lived thus

In freedom of speech and freedom of press,

We the people, who haven't caused trouble,

But have voted for leaders that we thought right,

The true citizens who have never done our country wrong,

We the people who stand for moral reform,

Who fought wars to gain our liberty,

To acquire what the rest of the world never sought,

We the people of America who love prosperity,

And do not endorse that which violates our values,

We the people, who cry for lives that have been lost,

Lives of those who sacrificed so others may be free,

For honor and justice and all things good,

We the people, who plead on behalf of each other's well-being,

So that God's will shall be foremost in our lives,

We the people, who have been blessed beyond measure,

And appreciate our freedom because it could be taken,

Americans who will never turn back on our word,

We the people, who sing with the voices of eagles,

Bleeding red blood like our forgotten patriots,

We the people, shaming unrighteousness because it leads to destruction,

Upholding kindness for the sake of our country,

And deciding between goodness and evil,

We the people, making changes to benefit our poor,

Not distancing ourselves from the affairs of foreign nations,

But instead offering compassion to those in poverty,

We the people, like our forefathers, placing emphasis on religion,

And embracing our differences with acceptance,

Because American skin is common to us all,

We the people who enjoy liberty at the cost of past soldiers,

Do here re-establish a return to Constitutional morality.
