We Move Lightly

We move lightly

Carrying on by

Seeing the surface

Passing by the depths

Stare deeply into a picture

See what is really captured

Do you see the longing?

Her eyes captivated on

The man next to her.

Him only glancing over her.

He misses what her eyes say.

He moves lightly on by.

When they hug, she buries her face

In his neck, him never noticing.

She whispers I love you in his ear,

Finally he realizes.

Whispers to her,

I’ll never let you go.

I don’t want to let you go.

I love you.

We move lightly

Carrying on by

Seeing only the surface

Passing by the depths.
