We Are The Few

Did I deserve to be taken?

Did I deserve to be silenced?

Did I deserve to be beaten and...

Do I deserve to be in pain?

Will it always be this dark of a world?

Do I deserve being forced into things of nightmares,

simply because people can't be bothered to help me?

Am I any less of a person because of what color I am,

where I am from,

my religion,

my gender?

Do I deserve to live a life of constant pain?

No.

But what can be done?

What can I do?

We are but one of many.

The voices of the few cannot be heard by the many.

But if the words of the few are heard by a few of the many,

over and over,

we grow louder, and LOUDER, and LOUDER,

until the few become the many and we are heard.

Stand up. Speak out.

Help others. Never give up.

Together, we are strong.

Together, we will overcome obstacles we never dreamed would be defeated.

Am I any less of a person because I stood up for what I believed in?

No.

Am I any less of a person for helping others in their time of need?

No.

Am I any less of a person because of who I am?

No.

That is what makes us great.

That is what makes us powerful.
