We Are the 99

Countless demonstrators,
Over two thousand arrests,
Good old civil disobedience and nonviolent protests,
The scream of powerful voices as strong hearts beat in our chests,
Because mistakes have been made but were here to correct,
And were here to connect,
With 95 cities and 82 countries, solidarity at it's best,
Because we not satisfied with lies and bogus stimulus checks,
So we march outside of Wallstreet cuz between NYSE and NASDAQ,
we got some debts that need paying and some overdue taxes to collect,
We stand united here in these United States,
To disprove market fundamentalism and stop high income tax breaks,
We getting up off the bench and stepping up to the plate,
Because we are seizing our destinies and controlling our fates,
And though the police have assembled and they have their tear gases and mace,
We not afraid to take a couple riot shields or billy clubs to the face,
Authority can try to stop us but they can't intimidate,
Because we've stood back for years and we've had all we can take,
Picket signs and solid lines,
And all races and religions all combined,
To wipe away the slime of corporate exploitation and capitalist crime,
we refuse to give up, because this is our time,
And They might be the top 1 percent we are the 99,
Occupy Wallstreet,
Occupy Los Angeles,
Occupy Oakland,
Occupy Canada,
Occupy the ghettos,
Occupy the streets,
Occupy the cities,
Occupy the beach,
We will never retreat or simply accept defeat
We will occupy the whole world, until our goals are complete,
We have launched a campaign to break the chains,
And open the doors to make a change,
We are waging war,
It's time for invasion,
It's time to stop acting satisfyed and complacent,
Because feudalism is creating a schism and destroying this nation,
So it's time for control and our occupation,
Of the economic system that sees the poor as nothing more that charity cases,
Cuz to them we are faceless,
And irrevelant to them and their nominal social status,
We will continue to fight for as long as we can take this,
Because Were behind economic bars and it's about time that we break this,
And stop them from ignoring problems and being fallacious,
So grab your picket signs cuz I'm ready to face this,
And create an equal opportunity society where anyone can reach greatness,
And never again will we submit these faceists,
That was for the sake of rhyming but you know I really mean fascists,
Whose only concern is the economy and where all the cash is,
They produce nuclear weapons and ammunition caches,
Looking for money through war,
They make a couples Gs by the casket,
And go into foreign countries and leave their cities disastrous,
Taking their resources, oil and natural gases,
With a guise of democracy to justify their agenda and mask it,
And no matter what they do we will not be silenced or confined,
Because they may be the top 1 percent but we are the 99,
The private sector wants to cut Social Security and take money from the hands of our elders,
Cut welfare, sending poor kids to the streets and homeless shelters,
We must keep our urban planning and public works program intact,
Because these greedy bigots are on the attack,
They want to dominate the world for profit and be the sole proprietors and traders,
And it's irrelevant to them when our foreclose and our homes are in danger,
They're doing to us what the British did to the colonists,
And it's time for another revolution to separare money from politics
Lets put an end to oppression and an end to the false piety,
We can create a world with wealth benefitting society,
It's time for debt forgivness and progressive taxation,
And it's time to eradicate the plague of capitalism from the face of this nation,
Until we see a change and economic innovation,
We will continue our campaign of global occupation,
We all must fight to redistibute this wealth,
Fight for us all not only yourself,
We will change the world and break the ties that bind,
Because even though they are top 1 percent, we are the 99
