We All See the Same Sky
Location
We live in the Middle East,
on a wealthy estate,
born of the opposite
color.
We see an enemy,
a complete stranger,
a brother
in a war overseas.
We may have lost our mobility,
live in pristine health,
been introduced to life
with disease.
We could be most becoming figurine,
a sordid individual,
just another bum living on
the streets are we.
We are involved with the same sex,
love thy Father,
wander Earth dreaming
of companionship.
We look out our door and
watch our children play,
View our street through barred windows.
Lay in our beds,
ponder what is out there…
the same sky.
