The Way She Feels

She slides down the wall,
Hoping no one will notice her fall.
She bites her lip into submission,
Running towards her blade,
Hoping to drive away her pain.

The blade bites deep,
Pinpricks turn to red blossoms,
Each one hitting her to the core.
Still she expected so much more.
When the blade has done its job,
The pain was still in full throb.

He runs after her,
Hoping to catch her before its to late.
He finds her in the bathroom,
Torn through and through.
He wraps her in a hug,
Tells her not to give up.

She opens her mind,
She finds a certain relief in his eyes.
She puts down her knife,
Therefore puts down her life.
