The Way I Love You

Soft and pastel colors touch the sky

while the early birds fly by.

A cool breeze gives you a chill

as you make your way up our favorite hill.

Step barefoot into the morning dew

because this is the way I love you.

The fog is heavy in my eyes

but I know you are here to keep me wise.

Be with me on my soulful awakening

and I shall stay with you if you are weakening

because this is the way I love you.

Don't let the storm ruin our gentle ways

just slow down and meet my gaze.

Now follow me we're almost there,

I'll show you the top of the world if you dare

because this is the way I love you.

Here we are with broad smiles,

the land is clear for miles

Hold my hand for we are strong

as we greet our furture with a wondrous song

because this is the way I love you.
