Waves of You

Violent personalities crash against

Each other, dragging us through endless seas.

Your voice floods my drowning mind, and I tense.

Chaotic surges force you through my dreams.

Destructive waters pull me by my waist.

Waves turn to arms, and I melt into you.

You are a waterfall; I’m at the base,

Trapped in your typhoon, trying to get through.

Vast swirls of blue, all I see are your eyes.

Opposing currents battling in my head.

Tempestuous swells leave me paralyzed,

And sudden rising tides fill me with dread.

My murmuring mind whispers flowing parts

of consolations to my humming heart.
