Waves

Location

Your touch burns

I bear the marks

On my skin

On my heart

Each caress

I love and loathe

Has me writhing

Leaves me cold

I want to consume you

I want to break through

Give you everything

Take it from you

Leave you breathless

Have you wanting

Sick of taunting

No more flaunting

Yearning

Burning

But the tides are turning

Emotions churning

Now I’m learning

No longer do I believe

The lies with which I was deceived

The truth now plain

Though hard to swallow

No longer will I blindly follow

My eyes no longer quite as hollow

And if I stumble in the sorrow

I know there’s always tomorrow

So go

But know

I’ll be just fine.
