The Waters

until the day I was dropped

my foot held above water

it breaks me now being told that I was unwanted

infantile amnesia couldn't take the recurring dreams of the deep dark waters below

On the day I turned 5

Ma took us to watch Finding Nemo

all the blue that I saw drew me insane

and from that day that movie just wasn't my taste

I saw not why, but the blue and blue that filled the screens
