Water

You say I'm like water

That can mean many things

Water can be smooth and calm

Gentle, cool to the touch

Water doesn't stay in one place

It doesn't settle down much

Water can be soothing and kind

Calming you down on a rough day

Water is also reflective

Revealing the past, present, and future

Just by looking at the Face.

Water can also be agitated easily

Just by something minor

Water can soak deep into someone's skin

And they'll just wipe it off, unwanted

Water can cause severe damage

Just when the river of emotions it holds runs high

Water can also burn

Looking blue, but scorching red hot.

It's not it's fault

So in a way, yes, I am like water

All that and much more.
