Watch Me Shine, baby.

There were moments where before my open eyes, there was still black,

I was afraid I had become blind, in a way I had,

Where were you? You promised to be my light,

Curled up, in a corner, running out of tears,

Fighting with my emotions, beating against my fears,

I was at the bottom and there was a long way up,

Keep kicking me down when I climb, watch me get up,

I make my own light, all it takes is a smile,

Watch me stand up, no matter how many bruises cover my skin,

Watch me shine, baby, watch me shine..
