War Called Life

I am soldier in this war called life

I have to fight for my sanity and happiness

I have will win some and lose some

The wins feel great for a bit

But the loses, well the hurt stays for what feels like forever

That same hurt sticks with me

It attacks my happiness and my sanity

The fear that I won't find anything like what I lost comes

That's the hurts backup

And the razor in my hands

Well that takes the pain away for just a night

Tomorrow night I will be alone again

The hurt and the fear swarms my head

So do the memories of you

You'll fade though.

The razor will be put down

The blood stains won't ever completely wash out

But I have my battle scars now I was my own back up.

I didn't need you as much as I thought

I was my own hero

And now maybe, just maybe

I will be okay
