War

Location

20774
United States

Some men died
And more survived
But in the end
Who really wins
In this war of love?

With peace and lust
Where gold is trust
And weapons are words
That cut deeper than swords
In a valley of rust

With lies and heart
Where feelings aren't smart
And truths are rare
And even harder to bare
When the war begins to start

With love and care

Where kisses are shared

And hugs are meant to heal

When one of us can’t deal

With the pain and the prayer

Some hearts broke
And more grew cold
But in the end
The ones who've loved
Have won this war
