Waking up like this

It's not our fault if we feel this way,

But of course they'll say this is cliché.

I and so many wake up everyday

Expected to fit into one mold of clay.

How can we control what we look like?

If my curves are too large, I'm a whore.

If my hair is too short, I'm a dyke.

If my clothes are too plain, I'm a bore.

I won't say "we are one, one are we",

Despite being cheesy, it's just not true.

We can all be who we want to be,

So you should stop being afraid to be you.
