Wake-up Call

If only you could see into my brain.

See all the things that worry me, discourage me;

The things that I can't take.

My mind is like a jumbled puzzle.

All the pieces switched around, turned up-side-down;

Lost somewhere out in space.

But wait-- Don't even get me started on the politics, the logic, the basics of our economy

'Cause once you get me started it's gonna be hard to get me stopped I'll start going off like the bombs that our leaders drop.

But most importantly I'm worried about my family.

The tolls this economy takes; The relationships that it breaks...

Do you honestly think that they care?

Our political candidates.

The people we trust to navigate, to operate, to open up all of those closed gates.

The gates of our hearts and of our minds

Of our dreams, hopes, and faith.

The gates of time.

Oh so precious time.

The time that we don't have.

The time that we've wasted, wasting away into the nothingness of ignorance and bliss and

The "Happiness"-- the lullabies and the butterflies and the fancy cars and the diamond rings--

All the things we think we need.

Listen to me.

I think I'm having an epiphany.

If we would just open our Hearts and our Minds and see the Truth and see our Fate and see all of the things staring us in the face...

It's called Life.

Open your eyes.
