The Voices Around Me

There are voices in my head and all around me. The voices talk. The voices scream. The voices cry. They are with me when I sleep and when I wake.
But why?
I have tried my best to stop them. I've been nice all this time, but they won't go away. I've tried reaching out but the voices get angry and directed at me.
But why?
They haunt me all day and won't let me sleep at night. What can I do to stop them? I try to sleep but they just get louder and scare me awake. What can do when my by world blends with my dreams? The voices never leave.
But why?
I try to ignore them then I try to understand, but it's useless. These voices won't go away. Worst of all is when the voices are silent, when they hold everything back. The suspence of their outburst is suffocating.
But why?
Why are these voices, without reason and rhyme, haunting me? Why won't these voices leave!?
