A Voice Underneath All The Commotion

I am a voice of the shadows,
Forgive my hushed tone,
Because I am unknown,
Unable to waste away
But I am a voice unheard
Day to day.
No one can hear me,
But I can hear everyone,
Oh so clearly.
There may be times in all this disaster,
When you might hear me,
Over all the fighting, yelling, and killing
At least to say I am here every day,
Hoping for a change in a nation,
Where we could just be…..
