Vision

If I could change the direction of our eyes,

One in front, One behind,

The things we would see.

In front of us: our goals shining bright,

Behind us are the people in the night,

Struggling to get by.

And if we stared at those people all day,

I think there are some that would go out of their way,

to help someone in need.

One Eye on the past to learn,

One Eye forward will yearn,

Planning fortuity.

Too far forward leaves cares behind,

Falling back poisons the mind,

The things we could see.
