Violated

Judges 11:1 New English Translation (NET Bible)

11 Now Jephthah the Gileadite was a brave warrior.

His mother was a prostitute, but Gilead was his father.

Hebrews 11:32 New English Translation (NET Bible)

32 And what more shall I say? For time will fail me if I tell of Gideon, Barak,

Samson, Jephthah, of David and Samuel and the prophets.

She was raped taken by force

and in violence she conceived.

A child was born one quiet day

as this life was received.

She raised that child through duty

as love imposed that gift.

Is not this a wonder in itself

how this feeling did transmit?

"Flesh of my flesh and bones"

but what part is not yours?

It really does not matter anymore

for you love what is now yours.

Love overcomes everything

easy to discover in a child.

Is that why children make all worthwhile

so love can here abide?
