I confide in the lost and being lost. That carrot; being tied to that string, will forever lead me onto this way until that same string becomes frayed and old, just like me. And once it snaps and my carrot lay at my feet, I just may lay down next to it for one final rest because once we have each other, I imagine, still, we won't know what to do with one another.
