Veronica

Wonder Woman as she beMonths of pain and suffering Everyday on those achy feet Just to smile when she hears my heartbeat Her anatomy exceeding its limits Doing tricks That no man could experience That was all before I came into existence But in an instant I was cradled in her arms of love and assistance Now Does backflips Gymnastics Requiring chiropracticsBecause she carries a boulder on her back Trying to make sure everything is on track Lifting me higher While damaging herself Will do anything for my wealth Can't ever feel the things that she's felt Until I make a mother of myself Pain unsettling in her mindYet years of laugh lines Engraved in her face She will forever be the paste The glue that holds this family in placeOhhhh Veronica, my mother From the time I wake To the time I layIn the moment I sway Her embrace holds me tighter Brighter Brighter is her light which illuminates my life Brighter is her soul Which lets me know That life would be silver and never gold If I don't treat myself right Brighter is her mind Which speaks new perspectives Always intellectual and repetitive Of achieving more than what's in sight A woman like no other Oh Veronica, my motherYears forgetting to catch up to herThe graceful Goddess glows not glimmers Gliding with every golden step in each room she enters Oh my mother, Veronica

Wonder Woman as she be Months of pain and suffering  Everyday on those achy feet  Just to smile when she hears my heartbeat  Her anatomy exceeding its limits  Doing tricks  That no man could experience  That was all before I came into existence  But in an instant  I was cradled in her arms of love and assistance  Now  Does backflips  Gymnastics  Requiring chiropractics Because she carries a boulder on her back  Trying to make sure everything is on track  Lifting me higher  While damaging herself  Will do anything for my wealth  Can't ever feel the things that she's felt  Until I make a mother of myself  Pain unsettling in her mind Yet years of laugh lines  Engraved in her face  She will forever be the paste  The glue that holds this family in place Ohhhh Veronica, my mother  From the time I wake  To the time I lay In the moment I sway  Her embrace holds me tighter  Brighter  Brighter is her light which illuminates my life  Brighter is her soul  Which lets me know  That life would be silver and never gold  If I don't treat myself right  Brighter is her mind  Which speaks new perspectives  Always intellectual and repetitive  Of achieving more than what's in sight  A woman like no other  Oh Veronica, my mother Years forgetting to catch up to her The graceful Goddess glows not glimmers  Gliding with every golden step in each room she enters  Oh my mother, Veronica
