The valley ... where peace is calling

2 Thessalonians 1:11-12

11 Therefore we also pray always for you that our God would count you worthy of this calling, and fulfill all the good pleasure of His goodness and the work of faith with power, 12 that the name of our Lord Jesus Christ may be glorified in you, and you in Him, according to the grace of our God and the Lord Jesus Christ.

Place to be

Down on your knees close to the fallen

Surely the best place you can be

Where peace … Himself is calling

And He is always ready to be seen?

On the mountaintop all that’s seen is distance

In the valley is truly where life is growing

Life on the mountaintop is just for an instance

Survival is where life … is offered for the knowing

Give me the valleys any time ... where the faithful gather

With the wounded and the fallen … is where the Lord resides

Where duty is the norm … and the walks are graceful

Although the handicapped … have trouble to rise

On bended knee traveling through life

Where distance cannot be measured

Overcoming in such a world full of strife

in the presence of God’s pleasure
