Unwelcome Beliefs

Mon, 07/07/2014 - 18:39 -- Ashes08

A summer with my aunt

Did not turn out as planned

A trip meant for fun

Turned into a silent plea

As a different religion was forced upon me

Two religions were at war

My aunt would not back down

But I held on, I stood my ground

Remaining true to the beliefs I held at my core

We got through the next few weeks

Until it was time for me to leave

I went home stronger than before

Happy with my beliefs

Beliefs my aunt chose to ignore
