Straight A’s don’t mean I’m a genius

Smiling doesn’t mean I’m happy

Spending time with my family doesn’t mean we get along

There’s a lot you don’t know

There’s a lot you don’t see

There’s a lot you have to learn about me

I’m quirky, different, troubled

It’s ok, says my friends, But

I still have to deal with society

Pressure bends me

Pleading, I cry out in silence

Please, let me be
