Untocuched & Extraordinary

Her phone vibrates in her pocket as another "like" is placed on the picture of her posting
As another comment is placed by the people that are boasting
And as she looks at that very picture, she knows it is not her
It is but an insecure girl trapped by an abductor

Her filtered skin is not that light
Her eyes are not that big and bright
Her edited face is not free of pimples
But instead are full of shyly hidden dimples
Yet this is the her that gets all of the attention
This is the her that causes all of the mention

This pereception of beauty is only that; a perception
However, in my opinion, there is an exception
That picture you have that is free of the fake
That is the picture you should really take

The picture that cares less of other's point of view
The picture that is fresh, wonderful, and new
The picture that shows your imperfections and all
The picture that shows your "flaws" aren't a flaw

Looking in the mirror while the wet wipe is covered in her makeup
She can't help but feel like this is her time to fully wakeup

Her time to realize that her smooth chocolate, vanilla, or caramel skin is full of magnificence
That her brown, green, blue, or hazel colored eyes are nothing less of
excellence
Her pimpled face is real and true
So is that crooked smile that shows the perfect view

Society is filled with the idea that models who ooze commonplace features are benign
Not considering the millions of other people whose features are also kind
Society feeds off of plain, and easy, and dreary
No one wants to see difference, it's too scary
No one wants to realize there are different appearances of exquisiteness
No one wants to accept the astonishing forms of metamorphosis

This is a message to all of the beautiful girls around the world
Girls who feel like they have to go that extra mile
To feel good for a little while
Girls who feel like their beauty is "out of style"
Remove the filters, the touch-ups, and the edits
Let your uniqueness give you all the extra credit.
And if you aren't accepted then bump them
Their small-minds can't handle your fierceness within
