is it the sweetness of a falsified

mem’ry or truly sickly sweet charms?

have i imagined this air, calcified

in stone covered in velvet, moss harms

by covering stone arms, it’s embrace is

swayed and soft, no longer edges roughly

calloused on fine porcelain hands, only his

brush of forest leaks into my heart.

tough to heal until we sway the course of

time. only when we forget do we forgive.

edited mem’ries bring one so much love

that no one finds with life honestly lived.

empathy, sympathy are ceaseless when your blind.

edited memories leave the best behind.
