Untitled

Glistening teary grey eyes

Something in me always dies

Every time we say our dreaded good byes

Your lips move, but I hear nothing

Tears from your eyes are flowing

I made this happen without knowing

A heart of glass that melts to stone

This must not be discussed over the phone

You need to feel like you aren’t alone

Someone hurt you and you grow bitter vines around your soul

In a place where happiness used to be there is a hole

A father who fights

Who never taught her how to fly kites

The sun glistens on the water

Such a hideous man can have a beautiful daughter

A man who is never satisfied, who never taught her

That she can open up, sir

Without someone cracking her
