United We Fall

America flies, but we need to soar.

We strive for higher, but pull ourselves down.

We look to the left; we look to the right,

When the answer is meet in the middle.

We have the power to stand brave and tall,

Yet we are kicking at our nation's knees.

Abundance to love, the freedom to hate,

Our eyes, wide open, but we cannot see.

We fight for our country, but burn our flags.

We protest change with riots and wreckage.

We preach show love and kindness to others,

Ignoring the fact; hypocrites are we.

But, the U.S. stands shining above all.

With our foundation to build and thrive on,

Our nest always evolving for better,

And coming back to a nation of one.
