Unfiltered Truth~

Kaleidoscopic eyes, unfiltered memories

It really happened, I wouldn’t want to change what transpired

Without my past, who am I?

These memories, good and bad, made me who I am today

Unafraid to show the real and raw me to the world

Unwilling to be malleable to others’ wishes

My heart beats for everyone, until you shatter it

I care, way too much, but it never stops

Messy unruly hair, all natural, the real me

Scars hidden by some, but shown visible with me

Do you see all of the pain that’s hidden within?

Life is far from perfect and there are those who hide their scars with filters

Honestly, let’s all show our scars

They make us beautiful human beings

Look at me, a storm within waiting for the rainbow to show

What a show we all put on… fake and pretense to please others

Where did we lose our love for oneself?

In the sea of misery we find filters, perfection, and dramatic stories.

Filters that cover up the real and raw us

Filters that create a façade of the actual us

Displaying pictures that amplify what others care to see

Why does society share it all? Attention?

Most definitely… sad to say…. captions using words like bae?

Look at this picture, where everything is focused on how society perceives it rather than what we want to really tell.
