Unchangeable ... the flesh

Philippians 2:3

Let nothing be done through selfish ambition or conceit, but in lowliness of mind let each esteem others better than himself.

Unchangeable

The last page and emotions rage

Disappointment quietly waiting

Thought you changed but still disarranged

Your camouflage is failing

Once some hope and now just a rope

Waiting for the hanging

Quiet screams and now it seems

That cymbal is clanging

Lack of love for above

Rising to the surface

Shower in place in this race

Complete lack of purpose

Quickly joined to make a point

In a never changing nature

The old heart the flesh too smart

Strangling now the future

Heart of stone with a mind all gone

Hungering for attention

Just a soul playing the role

To stay in detention
