Umbra

A ball of lint.

You need to squint

your eyes really tight

To see the glint

In her two eyes

which is what ties

The darkness to the light.

The molasses embraces

and takes you places

you have never been before.

Tie up those laces

And go to the oasis

Leaving the places

Where you knew you had more.

The shadow encases.
