Two Seeds

Beneath the bark of the blackened tree

A darkened seed whispered softly to me

It came from nowhere and to nowhere it goes

A seed that loves all that it hates

From the charred ground it resonates

And once inside the seed of darkness grows

The seed grows larger to match my pain

It's vines coil through all my veins

It's pollen replaces my blood and flows

But with one seed come's the other

For the darkened seed has a brother

One that from beneath the grandest tree it rose

To fight the dark seed hand to hand

Brother to brother man to man

Though kin they see each other only as foes

But which brother will sucseed

Who will prove the stronger seed

Until that day only heaven knows
