There we were, standing

Back-to-back, fighting

We could make it

Our attackers stood no chance

Two of us, thousands of them

And yet

We were unstoppable

He smiled

He drew his own blade

Across his throat

He said

But oh, how it was

He was my best soldier

In an army of two

With the strength

Of a thousand warriors

And he fell to the only sword

Sharp enough to cut his soul

His own
