Two Great Trees

Tue, 05/12/2020 - 15:48 -- JKM

Even though I cannot see you, does not mean I cannot feel you.

For you and I, are intertwined like the roots of two great trees. Reaching down far enough to escape the ever-current breeze.

So now I say, WAKE UP and rise. Look out of your broken eyes.

For this is the time when the sky fell down, we sank beneath our empty town.

We realised things, we did not know, because there was no signs to show.

You or me, who we are, a living, breathing, pulsing star.

Our data is reaped by the scythe of control.

Scrambling through everything you know.

But, this isn’t true it cannot be, there isn’t things behind what I see. But oh yes there is and it’s right there, in the palm of your hand, believe me, I swear.

This poem is about:
Me
My country
Our world
