Turning that Pain Around

"You bitch, slut, freak, weirdo"

We here these words float down our hallways and out into the breeze.

So common in our daily lives that we no longer flinch from their stinging touch.

We see them glide towards and attack their target, these ruthless words.

We do not realize the amount of damage we cause those souls by saying or by not doing.

We do not realize.

Until it is us.

Then it is too late.

Or is it?

We can make a change then, oh yes we can.

To be kind, and nice, and understanding.

But what if we made the change before hand?

What if we realize how much those words can harm someone before we launch them into the air?

No one would have the stabbing pain in their heart any longer.

They wouldn't feel inferior.

They would feel disgusting.

They wouldn't feel unloved.

They wouldn't feel hated.

They wouldn't feel unwelcomed.

They wouldn't feel miserable.

If we can turn our own hearts around, away from that cruelness, we would help so many.

No longer should anyone feel such pain from shapeless bullets.

We must realize now, we must see it now, how much pain people go through.

And that kindness can turn that pain around.
