Trust No Future

Trust No Future

Tell me that there is no past,

So the pain inside won’t last,

Life is always a different dream,

Where things are not what they seem,

Each day it is another turn,

With every lesson we have to learn,

Time may look over you and me,

To see who is afraid to believe,

But there lies an empty soul,

With no specific goal,

And with no heart of fate,

Chances run out; and it’s too late

Don’t enjoy thy own sorrow,

Because your destiny will lead your tomorrow,

Perhaps this is only for now,

Soon the way to live will find you somehow

Imagine if this was true,

What would you do,

Remind yourself of the past,

Or live this moment like the last

I’m not making this a revelation,

But a test of unspeakable temptation,

Trust no future; forget the past,

Enjoy today and make it last.
