Troublesome Child

Dear Troublesome child that comes into this life,

Try not to do anything to cause strife.

Remember to be kind

And to not go blind.

Watch those around you,

But don’t follow them through.

Don’t fight,

Unless they bite.

And always stand tall,

Even when you fall.

Dear Troublesome child,

You’ve grown so tall,

But you carry quite the haul.

You stand strong,

But you feel so far gone.

You lost only but a few,

But yet you withdrew.

You want to be heard,

But you don’t say a word.

Just stay calm,

And soldier on.

Dear Troublesome child,

You will grow quite old,

But your story will be told.

You’ve lived quite the the life,

And became someone's beloved wife.

You’ll have quite the family,

To the point it’s almost a fantasy.

Many will be gone,

But many will come to a new dawn.

One day you will sleep,

But don’t worry, you will be one to keep

Dear Troublesome child that comes into this life,

Try not to do anything to cause strife.

Remember to be kind

And to not go blind.

Watch those around you,

But don’t follow them through.

Don’t fight,

Unless they bite.

Remember who you are

And you will go far...
