Travelle

Beaten down
thrown to the ground
covered in blood

Cuts run deep
Can barely sleep
The tormentors haunt you

They tease you and beat you
Till you're black and blue
But still you don't fight

They knock you down
But you get back up for another round
You keep your fists by your sides

They say you're too tall
Slam you against the wall
But you don't back down

They try to get under your skin
But their words are no more than paper thin
They mean nothing to you

Their words roll off your shoulders like rain
When they hit you, you feel no pain
You are stronger than they are

You walk home a wreck
Your face bloody
Your clothes a mess
But even though they beat you down

You came out on top
This fight was not a loss
