"Traveling 1000 miles is akin to reading 10,000 books".

Sure this quote might seem a bit biased but it's true to me. You can read a textbook that tells you everything you need to know about a motorized vehicle but you'll never learn how to drive/ride one if you don't actually try. If you wish to be more acquinted with a culture it's much better to go experience it yourself.

Social media can strongly be influenced by a third party so it's likely that the information portrayed by the media can give off an unbalanced view. If you really want to hear the stories/news/events, just go to the country yourself. You can hear the stories from the local's perspective. The landowners, the street vendors, the taxi driver, and even the homeless will tell you their views of their own country. It's only fair to make an assumption about a topic only after you've heard it from multiple(different) sources. It's a good alternative for learning.  I guess what I'm trying to say is that traveling could be one way to uncover the secrets of a country.I believe each country has a dark side. It just takes a little bit of work to figure it out. I've heard things from locals that I probably wouldn't be able to read from the other side of the world.

I feel very blessed to be able to travel at such a young age. I've developed my own personal opionion for each country and I have countless stories to tell for each. Travel for fun, to explore new things, to find yourself. What's the point of living if you're too old for it?

Take a risk, take a chance, make a change, and breakaway.
