Trapped. In my own skin. Caged. But then I see you. You look like freedom. A way out of this mess, and I so badly want that.

So I try, and as I walk towards you, I am being pulled in by your very essence. Maybe if I can discover who you are, I too can be free.

You were in my grasp, and without warning, she reached out and trapped you. She took your freedom and left you hollow on the inside.

So you came back to me, smiling as if you had never left. But I could see the difference. There was no longer a spark in your eyes.

I knew you were interested, but I am no one's savior. I cannot bring back what you had lost and when I realized this, I left you behind.

I would not let you dull the fire in my eyes, like she had done to you.

I am free.
