The Tragedy

I was sitting in my math class,

Waiting for the day to pass,

When suddenly I hear a gun shot,

Hopping the person would get caught,

We all huddled into the corner,

Hoping this would soon be over,

A loud bang on the door,

Made us cry even more,

The man came in and in the blink of an eye,

Everyone around me slowly died,

I started to cry,

He asked me a question,

But I just lied,

I lay there with my best friends by my side,

I started to wonder why,

Someone would want to see people in pain,

Hopefully this is a game,

I saw it in his eyes, his soul was black,

I wish I could take time back,

Tell my family I love them,

My life was like a gem,

Never let go of a hug,

Don't let anyone hurt them not a single bug,

I was deep in my thoughts,

Hoping I could call the cops,

I started running to the parking lot,

Seeing kids families,

Spotting mine in front of me,

Wanting to go home,

But having to talk to the cops alone,

I pray for them every night,

You are not alone in this fight.
