Tough Times

Let me tell you a story

about a person that is old.

His age has gone up high

but in his mind, it's low.

Born as the only son

in a family of four.

There's only one person

he's always adored.

At three years old

he knew nothing about himself.

Both Mom and Dad loved him

a sure story to tell.

Three years later

memories were being made.

Friendships were just beginning

he was in the second grade.

Summers went by perfectly

Amusement and Water parks galore.

But little did he know

what the future had in store.

Mom and Dad's love

was at a point of decay.

It took only one night

and it all faded away.

Living with his Mom

has been an unkind situation.

Everyday has been occupied

almost like a train station.

New experiences have been made

and not the fun ones.

They build up in the brain

making room for new ones.

The bad parts of humanity

have been shown to him.

But following those actions

will make his world grow dim.

He knows that in his heart

all these things won't last forever.

A tough life early on

will only make him get stronger.
