Too Young

Too young

These two simple words always thrown in my ear.

Too young to know life.

Too young to feel fear.

You see me on the outside,

never seen me within.

You tell me i'm young,

While you sit there on your sofa with your perfect Martha Stewart family.

You have never seen this tragedy,

You have never seen these streets.

Drug deals on every corner,

Hookers searching for a trick.

Kiddies shooting up on heroine, momma ain't ever here.

Yes, i may be young.

But in my young year i've lived to see more than your 35.

So next time you see me and say:
too young, tsk tsk

Remember my 18 beats your 35
