Too late ... or

Ecclesiastes 3:11 New English Translation (NET Bible)

11 God has made everything fit beautifully in its appropriate time,
but He has also placed ignorance in the human heart
so that people cannot discover what God has ordained,
from the beginning to the end of their lives.

Too Late … or

Ecclesiastes 9:4 New English Translation (NET Bible)

But whoever is among the living has hope;
a live dog is better than a dead lion.

It is too late the Judge is here.

I wished all had been settled.

I had opportunities to just do that

but pride and greed did meddle.

My adversary just sits and smiles,

he knows that I will loose here.

He’ll drag my past in great detail

before the court without my peers.

I lived a life, that could not end,

always waiting for to-morrow.

But to-morrow never came

and what is now left is sorrow.

I could have had a counsel here

without paying anything.

He would represent me free and clear

before the Judge and the King.

My sentence was set before I came.

I feel my accuser’s hate enclose me.

I have to spent my death with him

in a timeless sphere I choose too.

Suffering and pain are ruling there

and screaming is the music.

that tone-less binds the atmosphere

for our Christ has gone to prove it.

Now all I see is the rugged cross

and I feel the love of Jesus.

Why did I ignore His simple cry

as He wanted in His heart to free me.

If I could do it over again

I would today secure tomorrow.

I would accept Him for Who He is

to commit the life I borrowed.
