Too Late, Don't Say

Overdubs fading back with the sun

Dropping notes all along the way

But it doesn’t matter as long as it’s fun

Isn’t that what you’d say?

Waiting alone in my room

I’m not lonely for I have my friends

Walls spinning ‘round my head

I daren’t stand for fear of falling

But even fear manifests itself

Be it in laughter or tears

Even in madness you can see it

Look into my eyes so I know you’re real

Pointless, meaningless, empty words

Should not be spoken at all

It would be better to hear a song

That I have left behind me on the floor

The clock will tick forever

But won’t you find me

The ticking becomes every thought

When you are all alone

I would never say

That I want to stay here without you
