Too Bad I'm Just a Kid

What would I change, given choice and power?

Perhaps I would be noble and end world hunger.

Or perhaps I'd give freedom to those who cower

From hatred and malice, both older and younger.

Could I, perchance, change my city, too?

Bring hope to kids in dark schools,

Make them like learning things new?

Give them all love and fewer rules?

Or maybe I'd just change myself,

Become more responsible and wise.

Or even change into someone else,

Someone who sees with their better eyes.

Of course, all this is plausible to

The higher ups, my elders and such.

If only we knew what young ones could do,

Then maybe change wouldn't take so much.
